The flying moth/butterfly thingies in the latest Enfant Terrible extravaganza for the We Love Roleplay event made me think via a circuitous route of my favourite author, Barbara Kingsolver and her most recent, utterly wonderful, novel.  It’s called Flight Behavior (as you might have guessed) and is basically about the sudden unexpected appearance, way off their normal course, of a swarm of Monarch butterflies in a forest in the mountains of Appalachia.  The novel has a subtle but strong eco-message, as with many of her books, but again like most of books leaves you feeling very good about yourselves and about the future of our planet, despite all we throw at it.  So this is all basically a plug for you to buy the novel (oh, and buy the Enfant Terrible outfit while you’re at it!).
